Ok, we can just afford this guy, he is a perfect sniper, and although listed a center, was just as good playing on the wing with Iginla and Yokenin. He is a
free agent and i say we cut Antropov and get him for Gomez and Avery on the first line. Not only that, but was 3rd in the league in pp goals

Cammalleri a lot. Plays with a lot of grit and has had multiple seasons w/ 20+ goals so he's not a fluke. Depends on what he's going to cost, and I
think we would have to dump one of our big 4 contracts.

we should dump Redden on waivers, it'll cost us but better now that latter, we can rotate around our other dmen until we get a fit. plus i think that
Girardi has pp potential and Cammalleri would only be about 4mill anyways

I don't see him as a big improvement over Nik. Different players, but I envision they'd both produce similar offensive numbers if they wore the blue
shirts.

why cut Andropov? we lost possibly 2-20 goal scorers and we only had 4 to begin with!

If Cammalleri is only gonna cost you $4M, then we just replaced Naslund. We probably wouldn't have to dump one of the big 4 contracts to get him, although
I totally agree that we should anyway. And we'd still have money left over to bring back Antropov.

Bubba Beck wrote:respectufully disagree. Camilleri did score roughly 15 more goals then Antrapov and plays a much better 2-way game. Camallari will also go to the net more and as a result gets a lot of rebound goals. Antrapov is decent at deflecting, but doesn't go to the net on a consistent basis.

I like Cammalleri and Antropov. Keep Antro over Zherdev. Antropov is going to hit three prime seasons coming up and he's 6'6". He has twice as
much heart as Z and the rights to Zherdev have value that we can trade with.

the thing u gotta remember about antropov is he was auditioning, he was on teh mainstage in ny looking for a new contract, since hes a ufa, theres gotta be a
reason y toronto wanted him gone so bad.

what you have to remember is his ability to shoot and score goals. Gomez can set him up as well as Iginla, remember that his primary value too is goal scoring.
And that Cammalleri was 3rd after Ovie and Vanek in pp goals, so he can help to fix our pp |

past few seasons

I would not put Gomez in the company of Iginla, there is a big difference in comparing elite players and its hard to put Gomez in that elite player status. You
speak of set up people you think of Thornton, Oates, Francis and Gomez does not come to mind. He is not the type of player that makes other players around him
play better than they are.
Does Cammelleri continue his scoring under Gomez's end to end rushes and subsequent no where to pass routine?remembering that Naslund/Shanny/Jagr/Zherdev couldn't hook up. I'm just saying its not a given to assume all is OK under Gomer as a set up guy. Even his former linemates in NJ are still producing the same. |

Gionta's history is mid 20G and mid 30 Asst-actually playing better besides the monstrous year with close to 90pts.

Be that as it may, Gomez did start playing much better under Torterella and his ankle injury did attribute to his mediocre year. It is also hard to deny his
abilites to walk through the neutral zone and a respectable number of assists, and i was not trying to put him on the same plane a Iginla

wouldn't dump antropov that doesnt even make sense. sign him and we just replaced naslund. no need to dump anyone to get him. we need to dump defensemen
which i think we will with all these defensemen signings lately.
